Getting to know the TAPS team
With a mission to share information, create meaningful connections, and empower parents, this team is truly one-of-a-kind.
Hi everyone!
We have lots of new followers and subscribers this month so I want to take a moment to re-introduce the team here at TAPS and help everyone get connected with the workshops, support programs, and resources that TAPS offers. If you’ve been around a while, thanks for coming along! You may enjoy finding out what’s new or different.
Introducing the Team
TAPS is a one-of-a-kind parenting support organization where each parent receives care, supported, and empowerment to achieve their parenting goals. TAPS work spans a continuum from pregnancy through toddlerhood helping to grow parent and caregiver access to education and community support so that our children can thrive.
PEPS and Circle of Security Parenting
May and Geraldine work hand-in-hand to make sure that new parents and caregivers get access to our parent support and education workshops and groups. If you have a question about how to get enrolled in PEPS or COSP or if you are interested in attending a workshop, please get in touch!

Breastfeeding Support and Education
Jacquie, Sarah, and Shaunette work hand-in-hand to provide our breastfeeding education and support program. Focused on empowering parents to meet their feeding goals, their spirit of courage and inspiration is making a big difference in those early parenting feeding challenges. The team provides support and education across the feeding journey - so whether you’re pregnant and have questions, getting started with feeding, combo feeding, balancing breastfeeding with going back to work, running into challenges, starting solids, weaning a toddler… etc. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help with any early infant feeding issues!

We’re also excited to be training 4 new breastfeeding support facilitators this year and can’t wait to introduce you to them!
Wearing Many Hats
I (Monica) work hand-in-hand with the team and with our wonderful board of directors to plan, strategize, fundraise, and lead in a family centric way so that TAPS can accomplish our vision for the future!

What does TAPS offer?
Every month you’ll find education and support workshops on our calendar including weekly breastfeeding support and monthly carseat installation opportunities. Sign up forms for events can be found on our calendar!
New parent support group cohorts led by our dedicated community volunteers begin every few weeks. When you fill out an interest form, a TAPS staff member will follow up to begin the enrollment process for next group. We don’t use AI or automation to coordinate our groups - so thanks for being patient as May and Geraldine personally connect with each of you to get to know you, learn what your needs are, and figure out what programs might be the best fit for your needs.
